- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 to 3 tablespoons of milk

- Turn on and preheat the oven to 350 °F (175 °C). Grease a 9-by-13-inch baking dish with butter or as preferred.
- Open the cans of refrigerated cinnamon rolls and set the topping aside. Cut each cinnamon roll into quarters. Alternatively, you can use homemade cinnamon rolls.
- In a bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
- Place half of the cinnamon rolls in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

- Spread the apple pie filling over the first layer of cinnamon rolls in the baking dish.
- Top the apple pie filling with the remaining cinnamon roll quarters.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 to 30 minutes, or until the cinnamon rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
- While the casserole is baking, prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add more milk if needed to reach desired consistency.
